Partial Dentures at Veeyes Dental

Replace Missing Teeth Without Surgery

Partial dentures offer an effective, non-invasive solution when you're missing some teeth but still have healthy natural teeth remaining. These custom-made prosthetics use a combination of acrylic teeth and metal framework with clasps that attach securely to your existing teeth. Unlike bridges that require grinding down adjacent teeth or implants that need surgery, partial dentures preserve your natural tooth structure whilst filling gaps and restoring function. The result is a complete smile that helps you eat, speak, and laugh with renewed confidence.

Affordable Restoration That Protects Your Smile

Our partial dentures do more than just fill gaps — they actively protect your oral health by preventing remaining teeth from shifting into empty spaces. This maintains your bite alignment and facial structure whilst distributing chewing forces evenly across all teeth. The removable design allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, and with proper care, your partial denture can last many years. During your consultation, we'll assess your oral health and create a bespoke treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and preferences.

Frequently asked questions

How do partial dentures stay in place?
Partial dentures are held in place by metal clasps (or tooth-coloured equivalents) that wrap around your remaining natural teeth, plus a precisely fitted base that hugs the contours of your gums. Once seated correctly they're stable enough to eat and speak normally without movement.
Can I sleep with my partial dentures?
We generally recommend removing partial dentures at night. Giving your gums and remaining teeth time to rest reduces the risk of irritation and gum disease, and soaking your dentures overnight in cleaning solution keeps them fresh and well-fitted.
Will partial dentures affect my speech?
There's a brief adjustment period — usually a few days to two weeks — while your tongue learns the new shape of the roof of your mouth. Reading aloud is the fastest way to adapt. Most patients are speaking completely normally within a fortnight.
How long do partial dentures last?
With good care, partial dentures typically last 5–10 years. Periodic adjustments or relines may be needed as your gums and remaining teeth change shape over time, but the framework itself is built to last.
Are partial dentures noticeable?
Modern partial dentures are designed to blend in with your natural smile. Tooth-coloured clasps and high-quality acrylic teeth make them virtually invisible to others. We match the shade and shape of your remaining teeth so the result looks completely seamless.
